Rani ki Vav continues here with Apsaras and Adityas, the celestial beings!!!!
An apsara stretching out a bit...
...setting her hair...
...setting her long, thick hair...
...applying lipstick...
...applying kajal / eyeliner holding a mirror...
...setting her earrings with the help of a mirror...
...setting a strand of her hair, seeing the mirror...
...playing with her pet monkey...!!!
Some handsome adityas too...
...one more handsome lad!!!
Let me assure you, I can come up with an entire blog with several posts dedicated to Rani ki Vav, and I could stay there for days together and still not get enough of it...... I'm just speechless...
TO GET THERE & TO STAY:
Dedicated to Prof. Swaminathan & Co...
Hi did you notice the chataka beneath the apsara setting her long hairs? Legend has it that Chataka never drinks water off the ground and it supposedly drinks only rain water as it falls from the heavens. Here the Apsara's hair is like dark clouds that even Chataka errs and drinks water drops falling off the hair. :)
