But that’s not the case here. The temple is real huge. And people visit this temple often. And how do we get to the mid-point of that sprawling 25 acres? Swimming. Ok, just kidding. Regular coracle (that circular bamboo boats) service is available to reach this place.
This temple is called the Naduvanayanar temple. This temple is a proper temple with regular poojas and proper worship. The Lord Shiva here is called Naganathar and the Ambal here is called Yogambikai.
With that Tiruvarur Temple Tour cometh to an end!!!
To Reach There:
To Tiruvarur:
From Thanjavur/Tanjore – 70 km to the east
From Trichy – 124 km to the east
From Kumbakonam – 42 km to the south east
To Stay: Thiruvarur has several low & middle end local hotels & lodges.
Dedicated to Mom and Pop.
